DIAMOND SPORTS STRENGTH PERFORMANCE

Our year round strength programs is filled with a variety of explosive movements, that will neurologically and physiologically emulate the demands of the diamond sports, which are Baseball & Softball.

Diamond Sports Performance is a baseball strength and conditioning program designed to train athletes in ways that directly translate to the movements performed on the diamond. To the take your game to the pro level you have to start with the most important aspect – kinesthetic movements and strength. Diamond Sports Performance specialized programming will train your body to move fast and more efficiently, which will translate your athleticism and skills on the field.

Diamond Sports Performance is a structured program uniquely designed to increase an athlete’s arm strength, muscular strength, hitters bat speed, mobility and stability, as well as injury prevention. Athlete’s will perform sport specific and expertly designed exercises to prepare them for movements involved with baseball.

Diamond Sports Performance takes athletes through four phases of periodization; Base Phase, Strength Phase, Power Phase, and Peak Phase. Sessions include a combination of throwing drills, arm strengthening exercises, and functional strength training exercises. Exercises will include medicine balls to increase rotational, linear, and lateral power, weighted baseballs to increase throwing arm strength, and traditional weight lifting to increase maximum strength and power.

Pro Fitness 24 Athletes will be taught proper nutrition for optimum performance. They will be tested and evaluated at the beginning and end of each phase to monitor progress. The PC360 Torso Harness is critical to improve the mobility & stability of the turn of the shoulders. Hip & shoulder separation provides 80% of the power for hitting & throwing. The Torso Harness quickly improves the flexibility and strength of the core muscles that provide hip & shoulder turn and separation. It also teaches the athlete how to quickly turn the shoulders correctly.

The PC360 Hip Harness is critical to improve the mobility & stability of the turn of the hips. Hip turn is important for hitting & throwing to ensure the lower half of the body starts the movement of the body and creates a great deal more power than what the upper body can provide by itself. Emma Hastings broke 2 of her own 13-14 team records tonight. Her first came in a 4th place finish in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:08.81, exactly 2 seconds faster than she went in November. She went on the take first in the 500 Free with a blistering 4:58.67, dropping 2 seconds off her time from last March.

Madeline Smith placed 3rd in the 13-14 50 Free touching in 24.18. She also finished 5th in the 100 Back in a time of 58.77.

Bethany Tart finished 7th in the 15 & Over 50 Free in 24.30 and was 12th in the 100 Back (59.54).

Abigail Burns placed 23rd in the 15 & Over 50 Free (25.43) and Sarah Prosser finished 30th (25.58). Faith Koesters placed 30th in the 15 & Over 200 Breast in 2:39.70.

Trevor Torres was the top finisher for the Gator men with a 3rd place swim in the 15 & Over 50 Free in a time of 21.26. Conner Wang placed 9th in the event in 21.87 with Jack Nowacek taking the 15th spot in 22.18.

Luke McCarthy placed 5th in both the 11-12 50 and 100 Breast clocking 33.26 and 1:12.70 respectively.

Matthew McCray finished 5th in the 13-14 100 Back in a time of 56.27. He also finished 6th in the 50 Free in 23.22.

Connor Dennison finished 7th in the 15 & Over 200 Fly in 1:57.64 with Charlie Jones placed 19th in the event in 1:58.44.

Riley Brown placed 28th in the 15 & Over 200 Breast in a best time of 2:17.94.

Great gym equipment! It's a good place to workout with your athletic teams for school or travel ball. Power Core 360 and the RMT clubs are great for golf, tennis, or baseball. The staff is very friendly and have great prices!
